2. What customers receive
SumTrail is a personal-finance organization tool that lets entitled users plan funds, record income and transactions, monitor reserves and goals, and review net-worth and annual progress in a private workspace.
An account alone does not grant app access. Access requires a current trial or paid subscription entitlement. The separately sold Personal Finance Control spreadsheet is a different one-time product and does not activate the SumTrail App.
3. Plans, trial, and renewal
A trial begins only through the approved subscription checkout. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the selected subscription renews automatically and the payment method is charged at the applicable recurring price. Subscriptions continue to renew until canceled.
Before publication, confirm whether displayed prices include or exclude applicable taxes, the exact renewal notice wording, and whether local currencies will be offered.
4. Cancellation and failed payments
Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. A customer retains access through an already-paid period, after which the entitlement expires unless the subscription is renewed or restored.
A failed renewal does not remove access before the already-paid period ends. The approved billing provider may retry payment and notify the customer. Access after the paid period depends on the documented recovery and grace-period rules.
5. Refunds and reversals
Refunds are governed by the separate Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law. When a full refund or chargeback becomes effective, app entitlement is revoked. A partial refund does not change entitlement unless an authorized administrative decision expressly says otherwise.
6. Accounts and acceptable use
Users must provide accurate account information, protect their credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Users must not probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, abuse, or circumvent the service, its access controls, or another user's data.
7. User data and financial disclaimer
Users retain responsibility for the information they enter and for maintaining any exports or records they need. SumTrail is an organizational tool, not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Users remain responsible for their decisions and for verifying important figures.
8. Service changes, suspension, and availability
The service may be maintained, updated, or changed over time. Access may be suspended to address security, abuse, legal requirements, or material breach. The final terms must define notice, restoration, termination, and data-export expectations.
9. Intellectual property
SumTrail's software, brand, interface, and original content remain the property of their lawful owner. A subscription provides a limited, personal, revocable right to use the service during an eligible access period; it does not transfer ownership.
10. Legal terms that still require approval
Required: warranty language, limitation of liability, indemnity if appropriate, governing law, dispute process, and forum. Proposed forum: [GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE FORUM REQUIRED].
Required when billing is approved: identify the Merchant of Record and align checkout, invoices, cancellation, and refund language with the provider's approved terms.
